"It's already quite impressive." The boy nodded in satisfaction.
Looking at Mochizuki Haruka now, it's really hard to connect her with the decadent, bound spirit who used to lie in his bedroom.
"You taught better, didn't you?" The girl looked up at him.
"It's a pity I haven't taught you how to handle meat yet," Jun Matsueda sighed. "Why are you unwilling to learn?"
Mochizuki Haruka pursed her lips, staring at the swirling egg mixture in the bowl. "Because it's disgusting. That slippery, soft texture—it's disgusting to touch, and it's disgusting to cut."
"You also have to deal with blood, organs, and tissues, it's disgusting, smelly, and troublesome!"
"That's quite convincing," the boy nodded. "But it actually tastes much better when cooked."
"No." The girl shook her head vigorously, lifted the lid of the pan and stirred for a while before pouring the egg mixture into it.
"Anyway, I'll only cook vegetables, eggs, ham, and bacon; you can handle the troublesome meats."
A few minutes later, the golden egg was half-cooked, and the black and white mushrooms emitted a fragrance. Mochizuki Haruka chopped some green onions and sprinkled them on top.
Before serving the dish, she smelled the tip of her left finger, which had a pungent smell of raw onions.
The girl wrinkled her nose in disgust and stretched her slender fingers in front of the boy's nose.
"My hands have been defiled..."
The mushroom and scrambled egg rice for dinner tasted great, and Jun Matsue ate a big bowl with satisfaction. She also took on the task of washing the dishes after the meal—the girl didn't like washing dishes either, because she would come into contact with all kinds of greasy stains.
When he finished washing the dishes and came out of the kitchen, Mochizuki Haruka was already sitting at the spotless dining table with her exercise books and pencil case.
"Didn't you say you'd tutor me? You were too busy after school before, but you're free now, right?" The girl looked at him, leaning on the table.
"Alright, alright." The boy took off his apron, dried his hands, and sat down next to her. "If you had studied this hard before, you would have gotten into Tokyo University a long time ago."
"Do you think everyone is like you, able to do whatever they want?" the girl retorted.
“No, no, no.” Jun Matsueda shook his head. “I can’t play the saxophone or the piano, and I can’t win the school’s tennis championship.”
“I can teach you piano if you want to.” Mochizuki Haruka blinked. “But forget tennis, I think you look cooler playing basketball.”
"Let's talk about it later." The boy opened her workbook. "For now, let's focus on tutoring you."
The sound of pages turning.
"Hmm... there's quite a lot to say." He looked at the wrong answers marked with an X.
"So please be patient, Mr. Matsue~" The girl tugged at his sleeve, her eyelashes fluttering.
"I will listen carefully in class."
No wonder he wavered when faced with Tomatsu's application for permanent employment, Jun Matsueda sighed helplessly to himself.
He could hardly imagine the world without Mochizuki Haruka by his side.
Chapter 515 Laixi Yangshi Wants to Act
April 12th, inside the TV Asahi building in Roppongi, Tokyo.
"Whether you're here in person or watching on TV, thank you for watching today's music station!"
Yosuke Kurusu stood on the stage, took the hand of the female host next to him, and the two waved goodbye to the cheering audience.
Leaving the dazzling stage lights and entering the quiet backstage corridor, the impeccably made-up female host breathed a sigh of relief.
"I've successfully completed today's task..."
She looked at the bright young girl in her performance costume beside her and said, "Kurusu-san, you've worked hard too. It was a great first collaboration!"
"Yes! It's a pleasure working with you!" Yosuke Kurusu smiled brightly. "It was a pleasure communicating with you. The staff at your station are all very easy to get along with, and I thoroughly enjoyed my performance!"
"Thank you~" The female host smiled with satisfaction, "I was quite surprised that Kurusu-san was able to become so popular in just over a year."
"After seeing it with my own eyes today, I can understand it all at once—her dancing, singing, and professional skills are all outstanding, and she is also very kind and friendly to fans and staff..."
"It would be an injustice if it didn't become popular!"
"Thank you so much! I still have a lot to learn and improve~" the girl laughed cheerfully. "Looking forward to our next collaboration~"
The two parted ways, and Yosuke Kurusu continued forward. Her manager, who was waiting at the door of the lounge, waved to her, and the girl quickly went inside.
"Finally free~" Before the door behind her was even closed, she took off her elaborate and gorgeous performance dress, revealing the safety shorts and short-sleeved shirt she was wearing underneath.
"I've told you so many times, take your clothes off in the dressing room," the agent said irritably as she locked the door.
"It's too hot to run and jump in this outfit." Yosei Kurusu stuck out her tongue and fanned herself as she walked into the dressing room.
A few minutes later, she changed into her own clothes, walked out of the dressing room, and lay down on the large sofa in the room.
"Anything else planned for today?" The girl looked up at the woman standing next to her.
There are no other arrangements.
"That's all?" Kurusu Yosei sat up abruptly from the sofa. "Are you that free today?"
"The president has turned down the previous invitation for you." The manager glanced at the schedule in her hand. "Today is the weekend, and she hopes you can rest well and save your energy for the promotional activities of the new album later."
"I knew she wasn't that kind," the girl muttered, standing up from the sofa. "So the rest of the day is my own business?"
The woman nodded. "I'll take you back to your apartment."
"Then don't go back to the apartment!" Yosuke Kurusu waved his hand. "Let me call Matsue."
The phone call, which usually connects immediately, was answered a little later today, and the girl heard the boy's voice in her ear.
"Songzhi, where are you now? I'm free to go back to my apartment today!"
The woman in the suit looked at her idol on the sofa. The girl's bright smile seemed no different from the one on stage, but she just felt that something was different.
Yosei Kurusu's smile on stage is a product for everyone to see, but at this moment, her smile is only for one person, and it doesn't matter whether he can see it or not.
The agent suddenly felt a little envious of the boy on the other end of the phone.
"Hey, not home? Are you working a part-time job now?"
"Filming?!"
The girl waved her arms excitedly, "Where?"
"Wait for me! I'll be right there!"
Yosuke Kurusu put down his phone and looked at the woman next to him with a helpless expression.
"Could you please take me to Fujimori High School? I want to go play with Matsueda!"
"A holiday is for you to rest, not for you to go out and play with him..." Even as she said this, the woman still took out her car keys.
"It's okay!" The girl excitedly pushed open the door to the room.
"Being with the pine branches is a form of rest for me!"
Twenty minutes later, Yosei Kurusu opened the car door, and a breeze carrying cherry blossoms greeted her, blowing her bangs.
"Wow..." The girl's eyes widened behind her sunglasses.
The car behind her turned around and drove away. She followed the direction the wind was blowing and crossed the street, turning at the end where she heard the sound of flowing water.
Before me was a shimmering river, dotted with pink petals. The wind along the riverbank swept cherry blossoms from the branches, sprinkling them onto the black hair of the sailor-uniformed girls beneath the trees.
"So beautiful..." the girl murmured to herself as the boy walked through the cherry blossoms to stand in front of her.
"Welcome to the set of 'White Line Flow'." Jun Matsueda waved his school cap at her.
"Wow..." Kurusu Yosei circled around the boy, looking at his pure black stand-up collar traditional uniform, and then at the camera set up not far away and the girl holding the clapperboard.
"They're really filming a movie!" The girl took off her sunglasses, her eyes sparkling. "Amazing!"
"It's to help Imokawa finish his portfolio." Jun Matsueda patted the cherry blossoms on his shoulder. "We were at a nearby university this morning, and we're only just getting back here."
"Take me to see it quickly!" Kurusu Yosei grabbed his sleeve and walked towards the actors.
"Wait a minute," the boy called out to her. "They're filming over there at Imogawa. Don't wander into the shot."
"Oh, oh." She stopped and watched a group of students in uniforms standing by the bridge. They put something down, and a soft white light fell into the river. The students then walked in a crowd along the opposite bank.
"Is this the student you found?" Lai Qiyang asked the boy next to him.
“These are servants from the Mochizuki family,” Jun Matsue shrugged. “They were called in to be extras.”
"Wow—" the girl exclaimed again, "So what are they filming?"
“The white line flows.” The boy walked to the riverbank and pointed to a long ribbon flowing down from upstream. “That’s what they just put down.”
"This is a ceremony that Imokawa saw somewhere—it's said that graduating girls take out the scarves from their school uniforms, and boys take out the white threads from their school caps. Everyone writes what they want to say on them, and then they tie them together and let them flow into the river."
Yosei Kurusu watched the white line flow past him, the soft, long ribbon shimmering with pure white light in the water—this fragile, fleeting beauty is most likely to attract attention.
"You guys are doing this kind of youthful stuff behind my back!" She pouted, giving me a "you're playing games without me" look.
"It's just acting."
"Then I want to act too! There are so many extras, surely there must be a role I can play, right?"
Jun Matsue rested his chin on his school cap and began to think.
"There really is... a fiancée role, but it seems like Imokawa hasn't found a suitable candidate yet."
“Then let me do it!” The girl raised her right hand high.
A few minutes later, the director of Yosuke Kurusu rejected her without hesitation.
“No,” Natsumi Imokawa said firmly. “I want a mature woman.”
"Miss Kurusu looks like she's never even had a job before."
Chapter 516 The Knight's Invitation to the World of Kiseki
"Who said I've never had a job!" Lai Qiyang said angrily.
"Not only do I have to work overtime, but I also have to travel frequently for work!"
“Uh…” Natsumi Imokawa, holding the camera, was a little at a loss.
"Ms. Kurusu's work is quite rare, and her temperament is different from most working people."
"How is it different!" the girl persisted. "I've worked as a 711-Eleven clerk before!"
"This, that..."
Jun Matsue sighed. Not far away, maids dressed in sailor uniforms were standing behind the cherry blossom tree, looking at them curiously.
“That means you’re too young.” He walked up to Yosuke Kuraki. “You still look like a high school student, not an adult who’s about to get married.”
"Am I too young?" The girl took out her phone and used the black screen as a mirror to look at her face. "Indeed! You look like an invincible, energetic high school girl!"
Natsumi Imokawa nodded repeatedly, then curled her lip at Haruka Mochizuki, who was walking towards the three of them, and said, "Such a thick skin."
Kurusu Yosei put down his phone, raised his head, and looked at the girl with his chin. "What does Mochizuki act in?"
Mochizuki turned her face away and walked to the side, leaning against the railing on the riverbank, leaving her with a disdainful back view.
“If she doesn’t speak, she’s definitely going to be a loser…” the idol said with certainty, then looked at Tomatsu Yuka who was walking leisurely over.
What role does Yuka-chan play?
"Poor first love, he didn't have a role after graduating from high school~" the girl said with a slightly aggrieved voice, then walked to the boy's side.
Although she and Matsueda were destined to break up, they were still lovers at least for now, and she had to hold onto her place in the relationship.
"So the final winner's spot is reserved for me?" Yosei Kurusu blinked excitedly.
“There’s no such role…” Natsumi Imokawa shook her head. She looked across the river, where the bodyguards of the Mochizuki family, who were guarding downstream, had already retrieved the white ribbon.
"We'll film the chase scene with the white streaks again in five minutes! Thank you all!" The girl turned around and called out to the maids under the cherry blossom tree.
The maids in sailor uniforms nodded happily—being an extra was much more interesting than doing housework in the manor.
Natsumi Imokawa turned around again, "We'll be filming the riverside scene two more times. Tomatsu-kun and Mochizuki-kun will be taking turns, okay?"
Mochizuki Haruka, who was secretly memorizing vocabulary words by the river, put down her phone and walked towards her maids. Tomatsu Yuka nodded, handed the boy a bottle of mineral water she had just taken a sip of, and walked towards the bridge.
"Don't we need to go to the pine branch?" Kurusu Yosei asked, looking at the boy who was still standing in the same spot.
“I just finished filming,” Jun Matsue fanned the hat in his hand. “Besides, it would be awkward to leave you here all alone.”
"But I want to act!" she grabbed Natsumi Imokawa, who was about to turn and leave. "Director, please give me a role too!"
