"Your Highness, what do you mean?"
Seth was puzzled. Leon and Leon were fighting each other for the throne, secretly battling fiercely, but now that the throne was right in front of Leon, why was he going to back down?
"You come in with me."
"As ordered."
Leon led Seth into the underground palace.
He pointed to a sealed object inside the underground palace.
"Go in and see what Leon is doing in there, whether he's dead or not."
"Is Leon in here?"
Seth was puzzled.
"Yes."
Leon nodded.
"Okay, Your Highness."
Seth extended his divinity towards the sealed artifact, but just as he was about to enter, the artifact suddenly stirred. Seth sensed an incredibly powerful force within the artifact, preventing him from entering.
"How is this going?"
Seth was a little confused.
"You can't use this sealed artifact?"
Leon didn't understand either. He was born lacking in spirituality and was just an ordinary person. Although he had read extensively and had a lot of knowledge in this area, he ultimately lacked practical experience.
"I can not get in."
Seth looked troubled. "There is an indescribable and powerful force inside. This sealed artifact is in a very chaotic state now, and the internal space seems to have collapsed. If I'm not mistaken, this sealed artifact will break down soon."
"Broken?"
Leon felt something was off.
Leon is barely clinging to life; how could he possibly have the power to destroy a legendary seal from within?
Could it be the dragon inside?
Did that dragon go berserk?
But she didn't need to go on a rampage at all!
Leon was just there to pick her up; she could have just come out with him. Why did she have to destroy the seal to get out?
Or did Leon die as soon as he went in?
Therefore, the dragon can only be released by destroying the sealing artifact!
That's the only possibility.
"Seth, the situation is critical. I need your help to destroy this sealed artifact."
"Leon said immediately."
"Yes, Your Highness, please step back ten meters away."
Seth nodded, his hand gripping the hilt of his sword at his waist. His muscles bulged, as if a tremendous force was about to be unleashed.
Leon knew he couldn't withstand such power, so he quickly ran away to a distance of twenty meters.
Just as Seth was about to draw his sword and strike the sealed object, the object emitted a bright white light and began to tremble violently. Then, the white light exploded with a massive flash.
A flash of light of this magnitude could blind an ordinary person if they looked at it directly with the naked eye.
Leon had anticipated this potential danger, so after walking about twenty meters away, he kept his back to Seth.
Seth felt unwell; he felt as if his eyes suddenly went completely blind.
Fortunately, he was a half-step Glory-level angel, and his sight was restored after only a few seconds of temporary blindness.
Then, he saw Leon and a striking blonde woman appear inside the underground palace.
"Your Highness Leon?"
Seth looked at Leon while warily observing Eric. Seeing that Eric had no intention of attacking, he relaxed his hand on the hilt of his sword.
"Leon, you're not dead yet."
Leon walked over from a distance, his voice filled with resentment, and said sarcastically, "You stayed in there for half a day without coming out. I thought you had died in there."
"Haha, sorry to disappoint you, I'm not going to die."
Leon chuckled.
“Leon, I have a way to save your life.”
Leon paused for a moment before saying, "The Embrace of the vampires can give you a completely new body. I think that vampire saintess genuinely likes you. If she is willing to give you the Embrace and share your life with you, then you can survive."
"No need, I don't need it anymore."
Leon chuckled and patted Leon on the shoulder. "Do I look like I'm about to die?"
"Ok?"
Leon was just an ordinary person, and he couldn't specifically sense Leon's changes. He could only look at Seth beside him.
"Although His Highness Leon is weak, he is not in mortal danger."
Seth stared at Leon for a moment, then responded to Leon.
“Strange, Leon’s body seems to have suffered a huge injury, but he has reversed everything in an incredible way.”
Seth was still watching Leon, and he couldn't help but exclaim in admiration, "Your Highness Leon, you have now broken through to the King level!"
"King?"
Leon was incredulous. How long had it been? Leon had gone from being a dying man to being promoted.
But when Leon looked at Eric, who was clinging to Leon's side, he immediately understood what was going on.
"Wonderful! I never imagined that the cause and effect carried by this fortune could have such an effect."
Leon muttered to himself.
Chapter Twenty-Nine: Can I Quit?
I've been inside this strange box for who knows how long.
It seems that Shaling only wanted to trap herself, otherwise it wouldn't have been so long since anyone had come to kill her.
Moreover, Shalin only controlled the vampire forces within the Moonlight City palace. The city defense troops remaining in Moonlight City, as well as other powerful vampires, seemed unaware of what had happened inside the palace.
Once the other powerful figures realize this and rush to the palace, then Shaling is destined to fail.
Was a rebellion, which was destined to fail, really necessary? And what was her purpose in rebelling?
Philippa pondered in bewilderment. She had given up struggling and settled down in a more comfortable position.
Kassalin, however, did not give up and continued to search for a way to unlock the box. Philippa understood that Kassalin was stubborn; after all, she could wait for hundreds of years because of a man's promise, even when she couldn't be sure if that human had died of old age.
There's no use trying to persuade such a stubborn woman.
Suddenly, as if sensing something, Kassalin raised her hand and looked at the top of the box. Then she floated up to the top of the box and started tearing at a certain spot.
A short while later, a small tear appeared in that spot. But it wasn't Kassa Ling who tore it; it was another hand outside the box.
Now, Philippa, who had been sitting there slacking off, had no choice but to pull herself together.
The crack widened rapidly, soon creating a space large enough for one person to pass through.
Outside the rift stood a girl with black hair and red eyes. She wore a simple long dress, and her long hair was simply tied into a ponytail with a hair tie. There were no fancy decorations on her body, but her temperament was unparalleled, and her beauty made Philippa, who always considered herself beautiful, feel threatened.
At first glance, she looked like a high-level vampire with all her skills focused on charm, but upon closer inspection, her fair skin with a healthy and lovely rosy glow made her look completely human.
How can there be such beautiful humans? Even the most exquisite dolls are no more beautiful than this.
Philippa stared in a daze.
"Are you Miss Philippa?"
Helena spoke first.
"you know me?"
Philippa looked at Helena with a puzzled expression.
"Yes, I saw it, at your wedding with Leon."
Helena smiled and said.
"You attended our wedding too? Then you're a noble lady from the Fchester Empire?"
Philippa thought for a moment and guessed, "Did Leon send you to help me?"
"Ah……"
Helena smiled and said, "No, I came to find you myself."
"Looking for me? But we don't know each other at all."
Philippa became alert.
Could it be a human vampire hunter trying to take advantage of the chaos to kill the vampire saintess?
Among humans, there are always some who risk their lives for money. For high bounties, they have even dared to assassinate vampire queens, orc kings, and even elven queens.
The Orc King is said to have been assassinated by human bounty hunters.
Kassa Ling, standing to the side, kept a close eye on Helena's every move, adopting a defensive stance.
"Let's get to know each other now."
Helena smiled coolly, "My name is Helena Evelyn. I am Leon's first love and the girl he loves most. Now I am Leon's girlfriend."
"what?"
Philippa never expected Helena to say such a thing, and for a moment her mind went blank.
But she quickly realized what was going on and said in a sarcastic tone, "When I was with Leon before, I suspected he was lying. He must have a girl he likes in human society. So—that person is you. You are quite attractive. So this is the standard answer in Leon's heart?"
"What, getting impatient?"
Helena looked down at Philippa and said, "You're quite pretty too, except for your short legs. There's no need to feel inferior."
"you--"
Philippa was so angry that she kept tapping her little tiger teeth.
"Ha, whatever your relationship with Leon is, you must leave him now. I am his wife! Do you want to be a homewrecker?"
"A mistress? You were the one who insisted on marrying him and came between me and Leon, and now you're turning around and calling me a third party? That's utterly ridiculous."
"I……"
Philippa clearly felt that she was not as right as Helena, but in any case, she and Leon were already married.
"I don't care, anyway, I'm Leon's legal wife now. We've had a wedding, and the whole world knows it. You'd better stop being so stubborn."
"I didn't say I was going to remain stubbornly ignorant."
Helena said, "I came here to tell you that Leon might be dying, and if you don't go to save him soon..."
"save him?"
Philippa's expression was grave.
“Yes, Leon has been corrupted by that being and may not live much longer. I can’t save him, but you can. Don’t you vampires have a secret technique that can assimilate humans and even share life with the assimilated human?”
Helena said quickly.
"Yes, but in that case, Leon would also become a vampire. As a prince of a human empire, he probably wouldn't want to become a vampire, would he?"
Philippa said forlornly, "Perhaps it's because I'm what you humans call a vampire that I feel Leon is always on guard when I'm with him. He's really afraid that I'll assimilate him."
"But he had no choice."
Helena laughed and said, "Leon acts like he's not afraid of death, but in reality, he wants to live better than anyone else. In order to survive, he will definitely choose to become a vampire."
Helena knew that Leon didn't really want to die; otherwise, he wouldn't have kept a holiday diary to deceive her, nor would he have pretended to help her while fearing her revenge.
