Chapter 694 The Ravenclaw Crown

Chapter 694 The Ravenclaw Crown

Chapter 694 The Ravenclaw Crown

Xiren gazed at the crown before him, its center adorned with a grimy gem, the feather patterns of a bronze eagle extending from either side. It lay there silently, as if it had waited for centuries.

On the surface, it is completely rusted and oxidized into an unsightly dark gray, but from certain angles, you can still see the soft silvery-white luster that originally belonged to it.

The Ravenclaw crown.

Although he had expected this to happen, Xilun still felt somewhat incredulous when it actually appeared.

He came in disguised as a cat just to avoid interfering with Harry's activities. He had been watching from a table behind Harry while Harry was looking for a place to hide his potions book.

Siren was certain he had no idea from which corner Harry had grabbed the wig and the tiara hanging on it. The two items seemed to be nonexistent, but they appeared as soon as Harry reached for them.

But anyway, he found it, and he even saved a bottle of Felix Felicis.

Xilun took a few deep breaths, and after making ample preparations, reached out and grabbed the dusty crown.

In an instant, the room vanished, and Xilun seemed to be transported to a bottomless abyss, or perhaps the deepest part of the Black Lake.

Countless sounds suddenly exploded in his ears: screams, pleas for mercy, and the howl of some strange creature—

Where Xilun could not see, wisps of black smoke rose from the crown, gathering in mid-air to form a giant skull, attempting to swallow Xilun whole.

But the next second, a blue unicorn suddenly rushed over from the side, letting out a piercing shriek from its skull, and then vanished with a "poof".

Xiren felt as if he had returned to the Room of Requirement, and all the sounds around him had disappeared.

He raised his hand; the crown was still rusted and dark, much like the junk that no one had wanted for centuries in a secondhand store.

Unfortunately, the unicorn's soul cannot attack inanimate objects; otherwise, that attack would have completely killed Voldemort's soul in the crown.

However, this is for the best.

Xiren looked at the crown in his hand and suddenly thought of something else.

When he created the Horcruxes, Voldemort's soul fragments did not completely dissipate, but instead transformed into the Horcruxes along with the diary.

If we look at it from the perspective of the wand, those soul fragments are actually the core of the [Soul Weapon Codex].

Could this be the key?

After all, he had already proven long ago that Voldemort's soul fragments could not only be used as wand cores, but also had surprisingly good effects.

Hmm—it's worth a try.

Xilun put the crown into the deformed lizard skin bag and then deliberately pressed the silver mane on top of it.

The crown trembled slightly, and the dark gray gem in the center seemed to brighten a little, with a faint blue hue visible.

Xilun's eyes lit up. He waited a while longer, until he was sure that the crown had not changed, before leaving the Room of Requirement.

Unexpectedly, he found the legendary Ravenclaw tiara—just as he had guessed, he still needed to follow Harry.

Speaking of Harry, where did he go?

Siren walked from the eighth floor to the foyer but couldn't find Harry. Later, he encountered the Hufflepuff ghost, the fat monk, who told him that Harry had left Snape's office and returned to the Gryffindor tower.

Xilun returned to the eighth floor.

He had just squeezed through the passage into the common room when he saw Harry, Hermione, and Ron sitting in a corner—he didn’t know what they had said, but all three of them looked quite angry.

"Can you please stop nagging about that book, Hermione?" Harry stood up irritably. "The prince just wrote it down; he didn't recommend anyone else use it!"

"Isn't that enough?" Hermione said sharply. "Those dark magic books don't recommend using them, so you can't stubbornly assume the prince is a good person just because of that!"

"In my opinion, he might have done it on purpose. If someone who saw it became curious and used that spell on someone else—the so-called Divine Sharpness Shadowless Spell—he would have achieved his goal! Just think about it, if you used it on Ron—"

"He wrote on the side, 'This spell is for enemies!'" Harry shouted.

"Alright, even so, what about Malfoy? Do you really want to kill him?"

"I'm retaliating—" Harry said. "He tried to use the Unforgivable Curse on me first."

"But now you're in solitary confinement, and it's on the day of the Quidditch final."

Harry fell silent.

Just then, he saw Xilun walking over.

To avoid being pressed by Hermione's questions, Harry immediately went to meet her.

"Here's your 'Advanced Potion Making'." He handed me a book. "Thank you, it's been a great help."

"That's good." Xilun took the book and then casually tossed it aside.

Then Harry started to walk outside.

"Where are you going?" Siren asked.

"You're not going to go looking for that book again, are you?" Hermione stood up as well, staring sternly at Harry.

"Listen to me, Harry, that book might not be as good as you think, it—"

"Alright, Hermione, I don't want to talk about this anymore," Harry said, interrupting Hermione.

But he then explained, "I'm not going to get that book—at least not for a while, until Snape forgets about it."

"Snape will probably never forget this—" Siren muttered to himself.

By this time, he already knew what had happened. It must have been that Harry and Malfoy had a conflict, and Harry had used the Shadowstep Charm on him, which was later discovered by Snape.

And since Snape invented the Shadow Step spell, he certainly knew where Harry learned it from.

Snape was fully aware of Harry's actions of exchanging and hiding books, but he simply didn't say anything.

"Where are you going?" Hermione asked again. "Don't forget, you injured Malfoy. Now all the Slytherins want to find you. It's too dangerous for you to go out alone."

"Don't worry, I'm just going to the Room of Requirement," Harry said, his tone softening.

Hermione's eyes narrowed.

"You just said you weren't going to get that book—"

"No, it's not."

"Then why did you go to the Room of Requirement?"

"I need to find a cat," Harry explained. "When I opened the door earlier, a cat followed me in. It probably belongs to one of the students, and I need to find it."

"Ah, if that's the case, then you don't need to go," Xilun said, feigning composure.

"No, that room is huge," Harry shook his head. "Besides, that cat accidentally wandered in because of me, and I have to get it out."

"What I mean is, it's already out." Celen stroked his chin. "I just passed by the House of Requirement and saw a black cat run out of it, and then the door disappeared."
