Chapter 88 Maintaining Contact
"That sounds really interesting!"
However, Mine overestimated Esdeath's sense of shame, or perhaps underestimated the northern girl's receptiveness to new things.
Upon hearing about the strange things Broly, Akame, and Kurome had done, Esdeath's interest was immediately piqued.
"Red eyes and black eyes as wings, Mine as tail feathers, then I'll be the crest feathers. I like being up there; I can see farther from up there!"
As she said this, Esdeath stood up in the carriage, straddled Broly's shoulders with her legs over his shoulders, her lower abdomen close to the back of his head, and sat astride his small shoulders.
"how?"
She asked.
"I feel like this position is terrible."
The image of a little boy carrying a big girl on his shoulders has an indescribable bizarre feel to it.
Esdeath felt the friction between her head and the carriage canopy, realizing that this combination of positions was indeed problematic, so she got off Broly's shoulder.
He then sat down behind Broly, his front pressed against the boy's back, his arms and legs wrapped around the boy in front of him.
"Then I'll just use it as feathers to cover my back."
Esdeath rested her chin on Broly's shoulder as she spoke.
"No, if you hug me like this, where am I supposed to hug you?"
Mine couldn't help but ask.
"Since you're Tail Feather, how about you hug my waist?"
"No, if you hug me like that, my face will be facing your butt."
Mine rejected it outright.
"In that case, why don't you go to the front and hug him to use his chest hair? He also has one shoulder that's empty, so you can rest your other head on it."
Mine thought for a moment, then tried to hug Broly from the front, resting her head on the boy's other shoulder, her arms and legs intertwined with Esdeath's. This position was indeed much easier than she had imagined in forming the tail feathers, but...
"Am I not here to stop this shameful act from being performed?"
Mine belatedly realized what was happening and quickly released her embrace, also helping Esdeath, who was clinging to Broly's back like an octopus, off.
"I think that if we really want to gain new wings, it's not enough to just put on some weird performance art. We need to come up with a way that we can absolutely control."
"Mine said."
"So, what's your idea?"
Broly asked for advice.
"Anyway, let's maintain contact for now."
Mine thought for a moment and said.
. . . .
"Guest, we've arrived. This is the Wan Jiali Hotel. It's definitely the best hotel in the outer city of the capital, with the best environment and service."
Leone led a group of people to a grand-looking hotel, and with an air of confidence, he praised the hotel's environment and services to everyone.
While it wasn't quite as she claimed—that this was the best hotel in the outer city of the capital—it was still quite good. It was one of the preferred hotels for many wealthy businessmen from out of town who didn't rent a house after arriving in the capital.
As for the shady, upscale inns, each one was a den of iniquity. Although Leone knew where such places were, he didn't think a group of young children would need to go to such places.
Leone, claiming to be familiar with the hotel staff, took the lead and approached the hotel's lobby manager to negotiate.
A lobby manager in his late thirties, after hearing that the broker had introduced a wealthy customer, glanced suspiciously at the children's caravan over there, but still nodded in agreement with Leone's suggestion.
"If they are indeed hotel guests, you will receive five percent of their room rate as a reward for the referral."
This is the commission a broker would normally receive for referring a new customer.
"No, Mr. Manager, you only need to give me three percent commission. Half of the remaining two percent will be yours personally, and the other half can be considered a discount you give to those customers out of consideration for me. How does that sound?"
The hotel manager stroked his chin, finding the young man in front of him quite interesting and a clever fellow. He nodded and said, "If we can close this deal, you can refer other guests here in the future. I can give you a 6% commission, but 1% of that will be mine."
"Of course."
Leone negotiated the terms with the manager and quickly led him to Broly, looking as if he had successfully obtained the discount for staying there.
"Guests, what kind of rooms would you like?"
The hotel manager inquired.
"We don't choose the best, we choose the most expensive. We want the most expensive suite."
Broly spoke directly.
"Our hotel's most expensive suite costs 100,000 per night. Would you like to stay there?"
The hotel manager's eyes lit up as he asked.
"Is there enough room for all of us?"
Mine stepped forward and asked a question.
"If that's not enough, open another one."
Broly added.
"That's enough. Our hotel's suites are specially prepared for guests who bring their own bodyguards."
The hotel manager replied earnestly.
Although he could take kickbacks in private, he couldn't openly deceive guests and ruin the hotel's reputation.
Yay!
Leone was very excited. He had thought he would only receive a few hundred dollars in commission, but now it seemed like he would be making several thousand dollars.
Broly was even more satisfied. The happiness value on his new target kept increasing. Although he couldn't be completely sure that he could successfully invite the other party, it didn't stop him from feeling happy as he watched the other party's happiness value increase. That was all the potential capital he could exchange for food on Wanpa Star.
"This is your payment!"
Broly handed over a large wad of tip for leading the way.
"Hey, isn't this too much?"
Leone looked at the thick tip and felt a little strange.
"We are very satisfied with the hotel you recommended, so we gave you a little extra."
Broly explained it this way.
"The young boss is very generous, thank you."
Leone's eyes lit up, and she thanked him, her happiness level rising again.
"By the way, if you're free tomorrow, could you come back and show us around Beijing? We'll pay you."
Broly asked again, this was to maintain contact.
"No problem, it's an honor to serve you, little bosses."
Leone immediately agreed; she wouldn't let go of such a great opportunity to make a lot of money.
Leone left happily.
After Broly and the others successfully paid for and checked into the hotel, they had just put down their luggage in their suites when Mine started a discussion in the large suite.
However, the main topic of the conference was not to discuss the team's purpose in coming to the capital, but rather how Broly, having suddenly encountered a new wing, should help the old wings and external wives and allies win over the new wing so that it would become their companion.
