Chapter 811 Anti-Monitor vs. Monitor and World Builder, 3
Chapter 811 Anti-Monitor vs. Monitor and World Maker: The Three Brothers' Civil War
"Useless." The anti-surveillance agent thought quietly.
At this point, the will of the anti-monitor had left Barbatos's body, but rather than being forced to leave, he had given up voluntarily—for a more distant plan and a greater benefit.
Even so, the first Lantern's final choice left him deeply disappointed.
History began to solidify like cement, and the fact of the death of the first Lantern began to be gradually etched into reality until it became irreversible.
The idea that you can only see your mother after you die is utterly stupid.
Even as a sixth-dimensional deity, the anti-monitor who wished his own mother were dead could never truly empathize with the first Lantern Man who was trying to find his mother.
He had originally hoped that Genie Evolution would complete his plan to take Earth 15 and then help him shake up the hypertime flow to create more rifts so that he could come down from above, but now that expectation has been dashed.
whispering sound.
He shook his head.
But his efforts so far have not been a complete failure.
History has been distorted to a great extent. The DC multiverse is like a tall building, and the first cosmic reboot event in the DC multiverse, the Crisis on Infinite Earths, laid the foundation for all events and firmly pinned the Anti-Monitor to its top.
In the years since this event, the anti-monitors have made countless attempts to change the outcome of the Infinite Earth Crisis.
He has also exerted influence downstream of the Hypertime Stream countless times, whether through whispers or by creating avatars like the Anti-Watcher Dragon.
But... he never once managed to truly change the history of the infinite Earth crisis. This part of history is just too damn tough.
As the foundation of the entire DC multiverse, even without the Monitor guarding the infinite Earth crisis, it would be enough to give the Anti-Monitor a hard time. Moreover, his brother, the Monitor, has been diligently suppressing him in this era, even at the cost of splitting his own power, transforming himself from a sixth-dimensional god into a race, so that he could suppress him while also taking on the responsibility of protecting the history flowing downstream in time.
But this time, he has been given an opportunity, an unprecedented opportunity. The Watchers have allied with him this time, opening a door for him, finally giving him a chance to try to escape from the crisis on infinite earths.
So this is what the Anti-Monitor is planning to do now: he plans to modify Crisis on Infinite Earths.
At the end of the original Crisis on Infinite Earths era, the Anti-Monitors and all the heroes of the multiverse battled on Quad.
After murdering The Flash, Supergirl, superhero King Fubo, Princess Fern, and a whole host of other superheroes, the final battle ended with the destruction of the Antimonitor's ultimate weapon, the Antimatter Cannon, bringing the war to a head-on confrontation.
"Fools, I've absorbed all the power of the antimatter Shadow Fiends, I'm invincible again!"
The anti-surveillance agent opened his eyes and recited lines he had spoken in history.
He is a sixth-dimensional deity who exists at every point in time, and to reverse a period of history, he must personally intervene.
"Stopping me is impossible, humans. I am no longer interested in your insignificant world or universe. I only care about you humans now. You have hindered every single one of my actions..."
As the Anti-Monitor recited his own lines, a shadow fell over him. For many years since the Crisis on Infinite Earths, he had been constantly thwarted by superheroes, growing weaker and weaker until he was never able to make a perfect comeback.
But he already had a plan, and his long-term accumulation of knowledge and experience finally enabled him to change history.
Whatever happens, the counter-surveillance activists will change history this time. And that is certain to happen today.
"I swear, I will use all my power to destroy you!"
The Antimonitor opened its mouth, and a torrent of pink antimatter energy shot out, instantly piercing through Wonder Woman during the Crisis on Infinite Earths. She let out a violent scream and then vanished into nothingness in the torrent of antimatter energy.
"Wonder Woman?! No, no, no!" The abandoned person next to Wonder Woman screamed in surprise.
"Great Krypton, he killed her! Just like he killed Kara. I don't care about my own life anymore; all I want now is to stop him, to destroy him!"
The anti-surveillance agent turned around, saw a humanoid mass of air in front of him, and said these words.
Yes, humanoid air.
In the original Crisis on Infinite Earths timeline, this line should have been spoken by Superman.
However, the World Forger stole the Main Universe Superman downstream in the Hypertime Stream, and at the same time stole the concept of "Main Universe Superman".
He stole the core of the DC multiverse, but the DC multiverse did not collapse as a result.
The time-travel concept presupposes a future where "Superman will return," essentially shooting the arrow before drawing the target, thus stabilizing the past history.
The Anti-Monitor is a sixth-dimensional deity, so he can see clearly that Superman in the current Crisis on Infinite Earths is just a non-existent cloud of air, but the timeline pretends he exists and maintains the continuity of history.
But to the other heroes before them, Superman from the main universe is a real being, not just some thin air. They are not of high enough rank, deceived by the time-travel effect, and cannot see the truth.
Therefore, this history continued as it was, without change or collapse, thus triggering a chain reaction in other timelines.
The chain reaction of collapses was contained at its source by Timestream using deception.
"You just stay there, I'll handle him by myself!" said a wisp of air from the perspective of the counter-surveillancer.
The Anti-Monitor knew that the true end of Crisis on Infinite Earths was approaching, and the Superman of the main universe planned to sacrifice himself to destroy the Anti-Monitor, which was himself. However, the old Superman from Earth-2 punched the Superman of the main universe in the back, knocking him unconscious.
boom!
The anti-monitor watched helplessly as the old Superman from Earth 2 punched a ball of air into unconsciousness, and then the Void hugged the ball of air and recited his lines.
From his perspective, the scene was extremely comical, like a pantomime performed without any props.
"You still have many reasons to live, but I no longer do. In this reborn world, my Krypton never existed, which means I shouldn't exist either. And I don't want to continue existing, at least not now that my beloved wife is gone. Take them back to Earth, and then you stay there."
(Note: Actually, Earth 2 Superman's wife, Lois, did not die at this time. She died during the Infinite Crisis, which directly caused Earth 2 Superman's madness.)
The Anti-Monitor looked at the old Superman from Earth 2 and said to the Superman Supreme from the Crisis on Infinite Earths era.
In this era, Superman Supreme is still very young. He follows in the footsteps of the Golden Heroes, participating in the greatest epic of the DC multiverse. The young Superman Supreme is so sincere and passionate that he listens to his mentor's last words with tears in his eyes.
"I know there are still things waiting for me to do. Just do as I say and don't argue with me."
The Anti-Monitor knew that the old Superman from Earth-2 would kill him in place of the main universe's Superman, at the cost of eternal life in the Heaven dimension until the Infinite Crisis occurred.
Of course, Superman Supreme, the most loyal disciple of Earth-2 Superman, did not leave completely with Superman from the main universe as Superman had hoped.
After bringing the main universe's Superman to safety, Superman Ultraman willingly returned to die alongside the original Superman from Earth-2. They originally intended to perish together with the Anti-Monitor, but by a twist of fate, they entered the Heaven Dimension, which led to the story of "Infinite Crisis."
However, who could have imagined that at this moment, the young Superman, who was willing to return and die with the old Superman, would completely turn evil in the Infinite Crisis and kill his mentor with his own hands?
"You're the only one left, Kryptonian? Then you're the most stupid idiot I've ever seen."
"The anti-surveillance advocate said."
He looked at the gray-haired Earth 2 Superman in front of him.
To be fair, he greatly admired the other man, but unfortunately, the old Superman was controlled by his brother, the Monitor. Otherwise, the Anti-Monitor would have loved to turn him into the Shadow Fiend.
"You might be right, you ugly thing, but someone has to clean up the mess! I think I'm that person."
The anti-surveillance agent looked at the fearless Superman.
"Then you're dead," he said in a low voice.
The next second, endless shadow demons appeared on the Anti-Monitor, instantly burning him.
"Ah, it hurts so much, it's burning inside me, what have you done to me!" The anti-monitor recited his lines fluently.
These Shadow Fiends were created by the Anti-Monitor using his own energy. The heroes of the Crisis on Infinite Earths knew that the Anti-Monitor would absorb the Shadow Fiends back after launching an attack, so the wizards tampered with them. Instead of providing energy to the Anti-Monitor, they destroyed his body from the inside.
The counter-surveillance agent was patient; he waited for that moment.
The Shadow Fiends' burning power alone was not enough to bring him down; he was simply too strong. Even after being repeatedly decimated by the heroes, the Anti-Monitor was still far too powerful.
This is the period of crisis on Infinite Earths, and the Anti-Monitors are at their peak.
Not far away, Superman the Supreme, along with the Superman from the main universe—or rather, a wisp of air—and another superhero, appeared before the portal opened by Alexander Luthor Jr.
"Superboy, I can't hold on much longer, hurry up!" Little Alexander Luther urged.
He was responsible for opening the portal back to the New Earth so that all the superheroes could escape the battlefield.
Supreme Little Superman took a deep breath.
He knew the passage back to Earth was closing, and in a few seconds he would be permanently sealed off. He could use his super speed to rush across immediately, but there was nothing waiting for Superman Supreme on that brand new Earth.
His home planet, the original Earth, has been destroyed by the anti-monitors.
Everything he loved did not exist on the new Earth behind the portal, a fusion of multiple parallel universes.
Furthermore, if Superman the Young One leaves, Superman the Old One will have to fight alone. Superman the Young One needs Superman the Old One, and Superman the Old One needs him too.
And so, in the end...
"I'm sorry for treating you so rudely, but I know you'll forgive me. I have to stay here to help Superman, and you'll be safe with the others behind the portal. Goodbye... Earth, goodbye."
No matter what evil things Superman the Younger did in the future, at least in this moment, when he threw the two people in his arms into the portal and then flew back to live and die with Earth's two old Supermen, he was worthy of the name of a hero.
"Alexander, I'll stay here. You go back by yourself," he said.
"No, I can't. I have to stay here and completely seal the crack after it's closed." Little Alexander Luther was also prepared to sacrifice himself, but at this moment he felt something unusual, a surging power trembling within his body.
Not far away, the counter-surveillance agent silently watched him, glancing sideways.
Alexander Luther's eyes were wide open; he saw the Man of Tomorrow rushing toward a nearby satellite, and he saw the steely muscles of the Metropolis bulge.
His arm propelled the satellite out of orbit, hurling it at the rampaging anti-monitor...
He looked on, marveling, but he didn't realize that what he saw was also seen by someone else.
Darkseid, a fourth-dimensional god, is about to use Alexander Luthor Jr.'s eyes to deliver a fatal blow to the Anti-Monitor at the end of Crisis on Infinite Earths!
Darkseid, the insidious monster who often hides behind the scenes, has been lurking throughout the entire crisis, all for this moment!
"I feel..." Little Alexander Luther covered his eyes.
On Apokolips, Darkseid thought silently.
"I cannot allow him to win. Once he recovers, Apokolips may become his next target. Let him experience Darkseid's wrath!"
A pulse of energy was then violently launched through a conduit known as Little Alexander Luther, and its effect upon striking the Anti-Monitor would be utter annihilation; however…
The anti-surveillance agents evaded it!
With a deafening roar, history seemed to stand still. When the Anti-Monitor turned around, he saw the World Founder standing with his brother, the Monitor, wielding a giant hammer. The two of them appeared at the end of this timeline, standing before his brother, the Anti-Monitor.
"My brother, my brother, why...why do such a thing? You are rewriting history." The Anti-Monitor heard the voice of the World Forger: "What a pity."
Oh ho.
His brother, the Watcher, and another, even more dangerous brother... seem to have reached some kind of cooperation.
The counter-surveillance activists remained silent.
Everything froze, and then he slowly, very slowly, began to speak.
"Alphius".
Have you ever... witnessed my prime?
