Chapter 446 Batman knocks out Lord Orm with one punch, the Red of All Beings
Chapter 446 Batman knocks out Lord Orm with one punch; the Cult of Red and Blood.
The red of all living beings.
It is the center of life energy, the dimension connected to all animals.
And the Totem Council... just like the Tree Council of All Green, where all the members are the Swamp Monsters who have been the representatives of All Green for generations, the totems that make up the Totem Council were also the Kings of Life for generations.
If Animal Hero's daughter, Michaela, is the girl who is still a tiny baby.
If she can fully master the power of her King of Life after she grows up, and dedicates herself to maintaining peace between the Crimson of All Beings and other magical and natural forces throughout her long life, she will not go to Heaven or Hell, or other realms of death, after she dies of old age. Instead, she will enter the underworld of the Crimson of All Beings, where she will be reborn as a totem spirit in the form of an animal, and then become a member of the Totem Council.
However, in a true sense, all the totem spirits of the Totem Council are dead beings who, after death, chose to merge into the Crimson of All Beings. Therefore, they cannot freely travel to the mortal world unless they are willing to relinquish most of their power.
Therefore, they need a living person in reality to serve as the general spokesperson for the Red of All Beings.
Given the lessons of the Corruption... the members of the Corruption Council trusted too much, choosing a representative who was too powerful and too ambitious, Anton Arkan, who seized almost all of the Corruption's power and nearly wiped out the Corruption Council.
Therefore, in order to prevent such a situation and to ensure that the current "King of Life" is powerful enough, the Totem Council of the Crimson of All Beings chose to raise Animal Warrior's daughter, Michaela, from scratch.
All council members share the power of the totem council, and no single member can make any decision over the others.
For members of parliament, the principle of majority rule has been an unshakable rule for thousands of years.
There can only be one King of Life, a decision made by all members of the Totem Council.
No member of the Totem Council would disobey this decision made by everyone, because it would be a complete betrayal to the others. If anyone did disobey this decision, their actions would be no different from those of Anton Arkan, who used abnormal means to seize the power of decay and darkness.
It should have been like this...
In a dark corner of the Red Realm, in a deep red cave, as vibrant and lustrous as fresh blood.
Countless people dressed in black hooded clothes knelt quietly there.
If the other totem spirits of the Totem Council discovered all this, they would be furious, because it would mean that one of them had betrayed them all, violated the covenant of the entire Totem Council, and brought so many humans to the Crimson of All Beings, a different dimension independent of the material universe.
But compared to what these hooded men are doing right now...
Before those kneeling hooded figures was a pool of bright red blood.
Countless pools of dark red blood surged, gleaming with an ominous light. And in the center of this pool of blood, a naked man stood there.
His body was covered in bulging muscles, except for a helmet with six horns growing out of it—wait, it wasn't a helmet, but rather six horns growing out of his head like those of a bison.
The horn's keratinous layer connected to his spine, piercing into his back from behind.
"I am the Blood Cult Leader. I was once an abandoned person. After I was born, I had the ability to connect with the Crimson of All Beings, and the Crimson of All Beings connected us all. This ability led you to me."
He whispered, and the sound was strange and rhythmic, like some kind of terrifying murmur.
"You have all joined my church...you worship me as Lord. Yet throughout my life, I have always felt something was lacking, that my strength was utterly insignificant, that I deserved much more. But all of humanity chose to rely on another, they chose Buddy Beck, and ignored me..."
"But now he has summoned me again. I will no longer be forgotten. A whisper tells me that I will become the king of the Crimson of All Beings, a position that does not belong to Beck. He also tells me... it is not too late. As long as I drink his blood, the Crimson of All Beings will finally open up to me. The blood will soon complete its mission, and true power will soon be mine."
"Fragmenters! You are pioneers in subverting the physical body, going to extremes to connect with the red of all beings, just to taste its power! You used scientific methods and surgery, your past efforts were in vain, and you were ostracized by society, but you never gave up. Today, like me, your piety will be rewarded!"
As the Blood Cult Leader spoke, all the hooded figures removed their hoods, exposing their faces to the air... Each of them bore the marks of stitches and surgery, with various animal limbs or flesh pieced together in bizarre ways, and some even had arms that were simply animal claws.
"And our ally, Night Owl! He brought us Buddy Baker's blood, the key that would connect each and every one of us to the Crimson of All Beings!"
The Blood Cult Leader stood in the pool of blood, waving to the Night Owl, who was leaning against the deep red cave wall with his arms crossed not far away. The Night Owl remained noncommittal, but raised his hand, signaling the other party to hurry up.
"We stand within the red of all beings, completely honest with our red mother, face to face. Never before have we been so close to the essence of the red of all beings!"
"The flesh and blood of a totem spirit, the blood of a red guardian of all beings—are you ready?"
As the Blood Cult Leader spoke, the hooded figures whispered amongst themselves. They slashed open their bodies, eagerly placing their hands into the pool of blood. Endless power surged into their bodies, and they couldn't help but let out joyful howls as their bodies began to swell.
"Shedding life, shedding flesh and blood!"
But soon, things changed—some people were horrified to discover that the blood pool no longer granted them power, but instead absorbed it.
He struggled to escape, but the next second he was dragged into the pool of blood, followed by even more people.
"No, no, no, no..."
"What happened? You told us—"
"Help--"
Then the screams quickly subsided, and the poor sacrifices were almost all dead in the blink of an eye.
The Blood Cult Leader's muscles had become translucent, like a mosquito saturated with blood, after he had drained all the blood from his followers.
He walked out of the blood pool, trembling all over, and slowly approached Night Owl.
"Help me..."
One of the believers was still alive and struggled to crawl out of the cave.
The Blood Cult Leader walked to his side, lifted him up with one hand, opened his mouth full of sharp teeth, and slit his throat with his teeth.
As the Blood Cult Leader devoured the food, the victim quickly fell silent.
He threw the body on the ground and turned to face the night owl.
"You'd better get everything ready," Night Owl said. "I've already made all the arrangements with Batman. Lord Orm won't make peace with Batman."
He said, "You should be prepared once Lord Om is activated."
no respond.
Night Owl narrowed his eyes. He had simply been leaning there, but as he narrowed his eyes, it was as if a shadow had suddenly appeared where he was standing.
He met the Blood Cult Leader's blood-red eyes without fear, his voice slightly hoarse:
"What, why are you staring at me like that? Do you want me to remind you again of how pathetic you looked, like a dead dog, during our negotiations?"
"Of course not, Night Owl."
The Blood Cult Leader finally lowered his head: "I will obey your orders."
……
……
……
Strictly speaking, Chen Tao did not want a direct confrontation with Om.
He had to consider the Atlanteans' attitude. Reality wasn't a game; it wasn't about him capturing Lord Orm, beating him up, patting the Atlanteans on the shoulder, and saying, "Hello, your new king is Arthur Curry, and he'll be leading you to do my work!"
Then the Atlanteans would say, "Wow, so our king is Arthur!" and completely forget about Lord Orm, offering their help without complaint and from the bottom of their hearts.
The last Batman to recklessly kill Aquaman was called the Drowned Ghost, even though she killed Aquawoman, but the gist of it was the same. The direct consequence of that was that the Atlanteans perished along with the land; they won the war, but there were no survivors on land.
Although Chen Tao wouldn't let things fall apart to that extent, if he were to directly persuade Lord Orm with his fists, then getting help from the Atlanteans would be out of the question.
Therefore, unless there is no other choice, using force is always Chen Tao's worst option.
Thinking of this, Chen Tao sighed. If only he didn't have any expectations of Lord Om, he could just punch him directly... But that's just wishful thinking.
Not far away, Arthur was desperately trying to persuade his younger brother.
"...The Anti-Monitors...are attacking...The Atlanteans must unite with the land dwellers to survive, brother!"
"You're telling me a demon king from another planet is about to destroy this world? You're telling me the surface world must join forces with Atlantis to survive?"
Lord Om said, "Utterly absurd! Do you think I'd believe a story you made up in three minutes?"
Even so, Lord Orm still removed his helmet, which was a very good sign. That helmet was a battle helmet in Atlantean culture, and his willingness to remove it from his head indicated that Orm was willing to negotiate.
Even if Lord Orm was entirely an Atlantean trapped by prejudice, just as Europeans once thought Native Americans were cannibals.
He is extremely superstitious, protectionist, and radical; if you offend them, they will retaliate tenfold.
But from the perspective of the Atlanteans, he was a king who perfectly conformed to the moral standards of Atlantis, and he could be treated rationally.
Faced with a crisis that endangers his subjects and even Atlantis, Lord Orm is fully capable of setting aside his personal prejudices, and Chen Tao only needs to ensure that.
"I understand, brother."
Lord Om said, "If what you say is true, I will do what I should do."
"But before that, I still demand that the land dwellers hand over the brother who attacked the civilians of Atlantis. You won't stop me from doing that, will you?"
He turned to Batman: "This is a reasonable and just request."
"Of course." Chen Tao nodded. "We will fully cooperate with you in searching for the criminals who harmed the Atlanteans. They are the common enemy of land and sea."
The situation appears to be under control, and everyone has begun to lay down their preparations for battle.
Chen Tao had already begun planning a press conference for Atlantis. Wonder Woman Diana was gathering manpower from Paradise Island. Once the press conference was over, Lord Orm and Arthur could begin preparing for the Atlanteans to enter the battery compartment. With so many people providing assistance, he could use this opportunity to leverage the Ion Shark and Parallax Monster...
This is essentially a snowball game; the more people participate, the bigger it gets, and the higher the chances of winning.
As he thought this, he watched as the Atlantean fleet, under Lord Orm's command, rose from below the sea.
Chen Tao pulled down his mask.
Even at this moment, he remained vigilant.
Three pink dots began to glow on his forehead; that was Batreniak's telepathic ability. Chen Tao was reading the memories of an Atlantean soldier.
Long before the Atlantean forces attacked, Chen Tao had read his memories to ensure that the army and missiles attacking Atlantis had no markings, in order to prevent the attacked Atlanteans from having any stressful behavior.
Everything is normal.
He's just checking it again now.
"I will send most of Atlantis's army back first, leaving only my guard with me," Lord Orm said. "We need to have a serious talk about the Anti-Monitor and what you've done, brother."
He told Batman, "My brother doesn't have full authority over Atlantis."
"I understand, I understand." Chen Tao nodded. "We'll come up with a set of rules internally, but no matter what, the friendly agreement between the mainland and Atlantis will remain unchanged."
Chen Tao gestured to the people behind him, and soon a group of unarmed American soldiers appeared, carrying welcome flags, while Lord Om's guards disembarked from the Atlantean fleet at their lord's command.
Everything went smoothly, but an ominous feeling lingered in Chen Tao's mind.
"Damn it!"
Suddenly, an Atlantean pointed at the American soldiers who came to greet them and screamed, "Damn it! He's the one who attacked the Atlanteans! I saw him in a diving suit slaughtering our civilians!"
"This is a conspiracy!!!"
Chen Tao turned his head and saw the bewildered look on the American soldier's face, as well as Lord Om's face turning pale.
Lightning immediately enveloped his body.
When he used his psychic abilities to scan this group of Atlanteans, why didn't he see any memory of the enemy's appearance?
Then they saw an American soldier, and suddenly it all came to mind?
He could guess with his toes that it was the owl who was behind it.
"Damn, that's fucking awesome."
Chen Tao said.
He raised his fist, the size of a sandbag, and the high-speed bullet synchronized with his entire body in an instant.
Before Lord Orm could react or unleash his magic, Chen Tao's red Speed Force flickered for a moment, then he appeared directly above Orm's head and slammed a punch into the top of his head.
Ombu's military boxing is not going to end well. Let's knock him down first before we talk.
