Harry Potter: This senior is pretty strong

Chapter 17 The Fresh and Solid Union Flower

Chapter 17 The Fresh and Solid Union Flower

At breakfast time, owls flew into the hall and delivered packages and letters to the recipients.

Jimmy received a bag of candy, which his mother had given him to use to make friends. He shared it with people he knew at the dinner table.

Qin Yu received a pink envelope with a flower pattern.

As soon as he held the envelope in his hand, his roommate and several classmates he was on good terms with all looked at him with curiosity.

“It must have been written by a girl…” Wilson said meaningfully, raising an eyebrow.

"Wow, what kind of girl is she?" Jimmy's eyes lit up as he chimed in.

"I don't know where these kids get such a strong gossip urge," Qin Yu muttered to himself.

"It is indeed a girl. She is very cute and has beautiful eyes. As for what she looks like, you will see when she comes to Hogwarts next year," Qin Yu briefly explained to the group of curious children.

"She comes to school here too?!"

What's your relationship with her?

How did you two meet?

"..."

The group became even more curious and started asking all sorts of questions.

Qin Yu ignored them all, hurriedly stuffed a few bites of ham and bread into his mouth, drank a glass of juice, picked up the letter, patted his behind, and left.

A few people remained sitting at the dining table, discussing the matter.

After leaving the auditorium, Qin Yu made several turns and finally arrived at a quiet flower bed, where he found a bench and sat down.

Upon opening the envelope, Qin Yu immediately smelled a pleasant floral fragrance. Just as he was wondering if it was Hermione's natural scent, he noticed the flowers and leaves.

This made Qin Yu laugh at his own wildly imaginative ideas.

Mainly, after being away from Granger's house for so long, he missed the faint scent of shampoo and shower gel that Hermione had when she was near him.

Putting these thoughts aside, Qin Yu took out the few pages of letter inside, unfolded them, and began to read them carefully.

The content of Hermione's letter was similar in structure to Qin Yu's letter.

At the beginning, Hermione used very cautious words to express the meaning that "I don't miss you that much, I just think about you occasionally."

Then, she talked about what had happened since the start of the semester, saying things like, "I had already learned a lot of things in advance, so the classes were a bit boring, and the teachers' questions were very simple and not very difficult." She also said, "I was the only one who got a perfect score on the pop quiz." These were the kinds of comments that came from top students.

She also mentioned that several female classmates were unfriendly to her, but because someone had been hung from a tree last time, they didn't dare to do anything too outrageous.

Hermione then expressed her longing for the courses Qin Yu had described, writing in her letter, "I can't wait for next September so I can take those magic classes like you."

As for her life, she wrote about the trips her parents took her on, and said, "My parents miss you very much. No matter where we go, they always subconsciously say things like, 'If Qin were here, that would be great.'"

Next, I wrote about some trivial things, such as bugs in Qin Yu's room, Mrs. Granger making Qin Yu's favorite braised beef with potatoes yesterday, her wanting to get a kitten but her parents disagreed, and how she seemed to have grown two centimeters taller and would soon catch up with Qin Yu, and so on.

At the end of the letter, Hermione wrote: "When I go out with Mom and Dad, or when we pass by certain places, I will pick some flowers or a leaf and put them all in the envelope, so that you can also say that you have been to these places with me."

Finally, Hermione told Qin Yu in very serious terms that he should not wait too long before writing to her, because she had already fallen for Trigg.

“That’s right, Trigg and I have become good friends, so you should have him fly over often! I’ll prepare lots of food for him in advance!” Hermione emphasized.

Looking at the last sentence, "Love, Hermione," Qin Yu couldn't help but bring the few pages of letter to his nose and sniff them.

He wanted to find a familiar scent among the fragrance of flowers, grass, and leaves.

However, the ink on the letter paper was too strong, carrying a short but profound sentiment that had traveled across mountains and seas. The familiar scent he was looking for was hidden within it, ethereal and difficult to discern.

In the past, travel was slow, and letters took a long time to arrive...

Looking at those few thin pages of letter paper, Qin Yu suddenly remembered this sentence.

Then, he carefully put away the letter and the flowers, plants, and leaves, and walked towards the classroom.

……

"Today's lesson was very simple, so most of you successfully concocted this frostbite potion. However, remember, this doesn't mean you have any special talent for potions; it just means you weren't too bad!" Professor Snape said slowly and deliberately, delivering his sarcastic remarks after the lesson ended.

Qin Yu was already used to Snape's tone, so he took the lead and said, "Thank you for the compliment, Professor Snape!"

Then, quite a few students joined in the commotion.

Snape couldn't help but roll his eyes, looking at Qin Yu and thinking that the kid was indeed quite mischievous.

"Professor, there are still more than ten minutes before get out of class ends. Why don't you teach us something outside of class?" Qin Yu said excitedly, showing no sense of being disliked.

"Oh? What do you want to learn?" Professor Snape said casually.

"Is there any spell that can fix leaves together to make cards or bookmarks or something?" Qin Yu described his request.

"..." Upon hearing this, Professor Snape fell into a daze.

Well, that's not surprising. That's how he is when he's not talking.

"No? Or do you not know anything about these kinds of spells?" Qin Yu said, quite disappointed.

Professor Snape said nothing, but instead swung his wand along a certain trajectory in the air, chanting, "Kereshus Tatos!"

With a flash of white light, a leaf that Qin Yu had been using to prepare the decoction on his table instantly transformed into a green bookmark, with the leaf perfectly embedded in the bookmark.

"What beautiful bookmarks!" "I want one!" "Professor Snape, your spell is amazing!" "Professor, could you teach us? We really want to learn!"

Upon seeing the leaf bookmark in Qin Yu's hand, the students in the classroom immediately murmured with envy and longing.

This is much more interesting than mixing potions, especially for the girls, who have absolutely no resistance to these little gadgets.

"Quiet!" Snape said, raising his voice.

The noisy sounds in the classroom stopped abruptly.

Snape said calmly, "These are just minor tricks. Since I have time today, I'll teach them to you. However, I'll only teach you once. If you can't learn them, you can choose to give up, which means you're not suited to learn this spell."

Then, without further ado, he began to teach the students the incantation called "Fresh as Solid".

The Sorcerer was a man of his word; he taught only once he had spoken. After explaining the trajectory of the spell's movement and the pronunciation of the incantation, he left it to the students to practice freely.

When Qin Yu used "Vibrant as a Solid Curse" for the first time, he directly blasted a hole in the table.

Snape happened to be passing by and casually cast a "Repair Charm" to patch up the hole.

After several attempts, Qin Yu finally got the hang of it and controlled his strength.

"Corisatatheus!"

With a wave of the wand, a flash of white light appeared, and a leaf bookmark was completed.

Qin Yu held up the bookmark with a sense of accomplishment, subconsciously looking for Professor Snape, hoping he could praise him, since he was the first to learn it.

Then he noticed that Snape also had a bookmark in his hand.

And he was staring at the bookmark, lost in thought.

Following Snape's gaze, Qin Yu saw a blooming lily embedded in the bookmark.

Lily is the same as Lily.

Seeing this, Qin Yu couldn't help but sigh softly, thinking to himself, "This old bastard is thinking about someone else's wife again."

Ahem, no, I mean a close female friend.

With that in mind, Qin Yu decided not to bother Snape anymore and let him think about his own thoughts.

……

It was Friday, and there were no classes in the afternoon. After having lunch, Qin Yu went to the Gryffindor common room and took out the flowers, plants, and leaves that Hermione had sent him, and used the "Vibrant as a Solid" spell on them one by one.

Once the bookmarks were finished and placed in their respective textbooks, Qin Yu nodded in satisfaction.

Then, just as he returned to his dormitory, an owl flew in through the window and dropped him a letter.

The letter was written by Haig.

The message was an invitation for Qin Yu to come to his place for tea at 3 PM.

After reading the letter, Qin Yu thought to himself, "Why did Uncle Han ask me to do this? Is he going to pay me back so soon?"
